Paper Choices
The weight value of paper is measured in gsm (grams per square meter).
The higher the gsm the better the quality and feel of the paper.
Low grade photocopier paper is around 80gsm;
good quality letterhead around 120gsm.

Premium Luster Non-Archival Paper
A cool white, resin coated paper with a pearlescent finish
A very popular photo paper that can also be used when making prints of original artworks. It’s a fine alternative to glossy paper with many of the same characteristics – rich colors and deep blacks. It is not archival, but it is still considered a giclée because the print process and quality are the same. Weight is 260 gsm. This is my personal favorite, not only for photos but also for my original artwork prints. I think it displays the best reproduction of the original and maintains the intensity of color.

What is a Giclée Print? And Why Should I Want One?
All my original art and photo prints are done through the giclée (pronounced “jhee-clay”) process.
The French word “giclée” is a noun that means a spray or a spurt of liquid. The word may have been derived from the French verb gicler meaning “to squirt”.
A giclée print is an advanced technology digital inkjet print. It is made using a combination of pigmented inks usually on archival substrates (paper/canvas). All giclée prints are made using archival, pigmented inks.
The inkjet printer literally blends the colored inks as it prints to produce seamless, highly detailed prints of stunning color and detail.
A giclée print on archival paper should not fade for a minimum of eighty years! The best advantage, however, is the high-quality reproduction of the original artwork. I also offer the option to have the print or photo done on non-archival paper, but it’s still the giclée process and the print quality is the same.
